Vladimir Putin congratulated the team of Mir 24, a 24-hour news channel, on the 10th anniversary of its first broadcast.
The message reads, in part:
“For all these years, you have been doing the important, necessary work of informing your millions-strong audience across the CIS about social, economic and cultural developments in our countries, as well as their history, reporting on the latest international news and promoting cultural and business ties within the CIS.
I wholeheartedly wish your close-knit team of top-tier professionals to keep up their creative, impactful work while remaining committed to journalistic ethics.”
Mir 24 is part of Mir Interstate TV and radio broadcasting company established in 1992 as per an agreement between the members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) for covering political, economic and humanitarian cooperation, creating a common media space and facilitating international information exchange.
