On June 23–24, the President of Russia will take part in a meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Council of Heads of State in Tashkent. This meeting will mark the 15th anniversary of the organisation.
The event agenda includes the further development and expansion of membership in the SCO, and the strengthening of its role as a respected international organisation. It is expected that the participants will share opinions on key global and regional issues. The meeting will result in the adoption of a substantial number of documents.
Vladimir Putin’s plans also include several bilateral meetings with leaders of other countries, on the sidelines of the summit.
