Vladimir Putin will present Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation gold medals on May 1 at the Kremlin to five Russians awarded the decoration for their outstanding work services.
This is the second time this high decoration is being presented. The first such ceremony took place in St Petersburg last year on May 1, International Workers’ Day. The President signed the Executive Order establishing the title of Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation in March 2013.
Mr Putin will also meet with representatives of national and regional sector-based trade unions to discuss compliance with sector-based employment contracts, implementing public sector wage increase programmes, and the general state of the labour market in Russia.
