Executive Order awarding Order of Courage to Russia Today and Life News reporters

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order awarding the Order of Courage to Russia Today freelance reporter Fedor Zavaleykov and Life News reporters Marat Saychenko and Oleg Sidyakin.

The journalists have been awarded for the courage and bravery they demonstrated when carrying out their professional duties.

RT RUPTLY video news agency freelance reporter Fedor Zavaleykov was wounded in the Mariupol clashes on May 9. On May 27, Mr Zavaleykov was released from a Moscow hospital, where he underwent a repeated operation.

Life News reporters Oleg Sidyakin and Marat Saychenko were detained by Ukrainian security forces near Kramatorsk in Donetsk Region on May 18 on suspicion of promoting terrorism. On May 25, the journalists were released and returned to Russia.
