The winners of the 2013 Russian Federation National Awards for outstanding achievements in science and technology, literature and the arts, and humanitarian work have been announced.
The winners were announced during a briefing at the Kremlin by Presidential Aide Andrei Fursenko and Presidential Adviser and member of the Presidential Council for Culture and the Arts Presidium Vladimir Tolstoy.

The Russian Federation National Award in Science and Technology is conferred to:
Anatoly Grigoryev for the theoretical work, development and practical implementation of a medical system for space crews on long space flights;
Viktor Maslov for an outstanding contribution to mathematics and establishing the mathematical foundations of modern thermodynamics.
The Russian Federation National Award in Literature and Arts is conferred to:
Musician and conductor Yury Bashmet for his contribution to developing Russian and world culture;
Writer Fazil Iskander for his contribution to the development of Russian literature;
Producer Leonid Vereshchagin, producer Anton Zlatopolsky, and director Nikolai Lebedev for the Legenda No. 17 film.
The Russian Federation National Award in Humanitarian Work is conferred to Yevgeny Primakov, a prominent statesman and public figure.
