Executive Order on awarding the 2018 Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov National Award

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Awarding the 2018 Russian Federation National Award named after Marshal of the Soviet Union Georgy Zhukov.

The President signed Executive Order on awarding the 2018 Georgy Zhukov National Award in the field of new weapons and military equipment to a team of experts for the development and series production of a methodological hardware and software complex for objectively assessing the results of air defence systems’ live firing, and equipping air defence training centres of the Russian Federation Armed Forces with next-generation systems that contribute to strengthening the nation’s defence capability.

The award was also conferred on the team of experts who developed the new technology for the modernisation of aerial munitions that allows for eliminating their disposal costs and contributes to reducing their lifecycle and training costs.

The 2018 Georgy Zhukov National Award for Literature and the Arts was conferred on writer Valery Povolyayev for a series of his literary works dedicated to the people’s feat in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, and the heroism and bravery of the defenders of the Fatherland.
