Dmitry Medvedev congratulated Russian Jews on Passover holiday.
The congratulatory message reads, in part:
“This is one of the most revered holidays in Judaism and it has a rich history spanning many centuries. It brings the entire family together for a celebratory feast and orients the faithful toward the timeless values of freedom, justice, and love for one’s native land.
Respect for the traditions and religions of different peoples has always been the key to stability and successful development of our country. And today, the Russian Jewish Community does a great deal to broaden interfaith dialogue, strengthen civil accord, and foster tolerance in our society.”
