On June 13, the President will visit the new Tolerance Centre opened in Moscow, where he will look over the work of the new specialised library department, which operates as a branch of the Russian State Library. It now has custody of the ancient books and manuscripts from the Schneerson collection.
The President first proposed housing the unique Schneerson collection at the centre on February 19, 2013, at a meeting of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations. A memorandum of intent was signed on March 6 by the heads of the Russian State Library and the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia.
On June 13, Mr Putin will also briefly visit a seminar on modern management methods taking place under Presidential Executive Office aegis for regional heads, who will spend three days improving their management skills.
