Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov chaired a meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations.
Opening the meeting, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office emphasised the pivotal role of the President of Russia and the Council for Interethnic Relations in the strategic planning of state national policy. In particular, speaking about drafting the new State National Policy Strategy through to 2036, Magomedsalam Magomedov noted: “The work being undertaken is substantial and requires particular attention, as it will set the benchmarks for the next ten years.”
Magomedsalam Magomedov thanked members of the Presidium for their active participation in formulating the goals, priority areas, tasks, and other fundamental elements of the future strategy. The draft strategy has already undergone public discussion and is currently being reviewed by the Russian Security Council in accordance with established procedure.
The Council Presidium also discussed and approved the Government’s report on the implementation of the Russian Federation state national policy in 2024, which had been presented for consideration.
Finally, a list of nominees for the 2025 Presidential Prize for Contribution to Strengthening the Unity of the Russian Nation was approved. Submissions have been sent for independent review to leading scientific institutions. The President will make the final decision on the laureate based on the Council’s proposal by November 4 this year.
Relevant decisions were adopted following the meeting.
