Dmitry Medvedev submitted to the State Duma draft Federal Law On Amendments to Articles 22 and 29 of the Federal Law On Basic Guarantees of Electoral Rights and the Rights of the Citizens of the Russian Federation to Participate in a Referendum. The draft law was submitted to the parliament in accordance with Article 84(d) of the Russian Federation Constitution.
The draft law will give the political parties the right to recall members of election commissions and referendum commissions appointed based on such parties’ suggestions.
