The message reads, in part:

“It is symbolic that both parties, being the leading political forces in the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, are celebrating major anniversaries this year. The Communist Party of China is marking 100 years and the United Russia party is marking 20 years of existence.

The inter-party dialogue has traditionally been a significant aspect of Russian–Chinese relations, which are characterised as overarching strategic cooperation. It is important that even now, despite the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, United Russia and the CPC maintain regular contacts between their central bodies and regional units. This enables you to thoroughly discuss many topical issues on the bilateral agenda, share practical experience in party-building, parliamentary and legislative activity, as well as coordinate useful and relevant public and political initiatives.

I hope that your cooperation will be constructive and fruitful and will contribute to further strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between our nations.”
