Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation to Improve Mechanisms for Ensuring Citizens’ Electoral Rights.
The Federal Law aims to bring Russian legislation on elections and referendums in line with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities as regards promoting the environment in which persons with disabilities can effectively and fully exercise their electoral rights and the right to participate in referendums.
