Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Accession of the Russian Federation to the Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Cooperation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children.
The federal law stipulates Russia’s accession to the Convention on Jurisdiction, Applicable Law, Recognition, Enforcement and Cooperation in Respect of Parental Responsibility and Measures for the Protection of Children, signed in the Hague on October 19, 1996.
The Convention establishes the procedures for regulating public and private law aspects of defending the rights and legal interests of children within the framework of family relations complicated by an international component.
