The Expert Council of the Presidential Directorate for Protection of Citizens’ Constitutional Rights met to review the council’s performance in 2017.
The meeting was attended by representatives of federal executive and legislative bodies, the Russian Academy of Education and the Russian Academy of Sciences, the heads of Russian universities and research establishments, and prominent lawyers specialising in state development and constitutional and civil law.
The participants pointed out that the council’s work in 2018 should continue in the following main areas: migration, citizenship and pardons – legislation and its practical application; the promotion of the Russian-French-German expert dialogue on citizenship, migration and relevant language and civlisational issues; and the establishment of an international humanitarian Russian-speaking community.
