Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Federal Law On Education in the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law sets forth that in order for every person to exercise their right to education, the federal, regional and municipal authorities will create the necessary conditions for the nomadic and semi-nomadic indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East to receive preschool and elementary general education in places of their traditional residence and traditional economy.
The way such educational activities are to be organised and implemented shall be determined by a federal executive body exercising functions involving development and implementation of state policy and legal regulation in the field of general education.
