Vladimir Putin visited Ivolga Datsan in Buryatia and several timber companies in the Trans-Baikal Territory. Later the President chaired a meeting of the State Council Presidium on strengthening the timber sector.
Accompanied by the head of Russian Buddhists Pandito Khambo-lama Damba Ayusheyev, Vladimir Putin visited Dzogchen Dugan, the main temple of Ivolga Datsan (monastery), and talked with the lamas of the Buddhist Traditional Sangha in Russia.
