The President said, in particular, in his telegram:

Under your guidance, the Russian Orthodox Church is developing constructive cooperation with the state authorities, making a major contribution to harmonising interethnic and interfaith relations, working to preserve enduring spiritual, moral, cultural and family values, and educating young people.”
