Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to participants and guests of the 3rd International Orthodox Youth Forum.
The message reads, in part:
“VDNKh, one of the most scenic places in Moscow, is the venue of a gathering of young people, who are goal-oriented, open and ready for grand exploits. These are young men and women with a pro-active stance, who are willing to keep up with the times and simultaneously deem it necessary to make their personal contribution to preserving our historical, cultural and spiritual heritage as well as the moral values underlying Orthodox Christianity and other traditional religions.
The state and society need your initiative, modern knowledge, and a fresh look at problems, and this forum provides a good opportunity for asserting oneself and finding like-minded people who are eager to implement promising projects as well as ideas.
I am confident that this meeting will be held in a fruitful and constructive manner and facilitate the strengthening of human contacts, and, of course, I hope that your participation at this forum will be of great help to you in your professions, in public and volunteer activities, and will help you all to achieve success.”
