The President sent greetings to Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia on Easter Sunday.
The message reads, in part:
“Your tireless and devoted service, as well as sincere commitment to preserving our vast historical, cultural, and spiritual heritage, to affirming traditional Christian values in society, strengthening the institution of the family, and educating the younger generation, have rightfully earned you high recognition. Your wise pastoral words help unite the nation, support people in trying times, and inspire ideals of kindness, mercy, justice, and compassion.
I would especially like to commend the meaningful support you provide to our heroes – participants and veterans of the special military operation.”
