Vladimir Putting congratulated the editorial staff of the Nezavisimaya Gazeta newspaper on the 25th anniversary since its first publication.
The message reads, in part:
“For a quarter of a century, your periodical has been one of the flagships of the Russian media. Having gone through different phases of creative and organisational evolution, the newspaper has developed its own, easily recognisable style, drawing on all the best from the rich history and professional experience of Russian journalism. This includes, first and foremost, transparency, efficiency and authenticity of information, as well as well-judged assessments. Of course, it also provides a memorable, interesting presentation of the material – both the Nezavisimaya Gazeta itself, and all its many supplements.
Your team has always included talented individuals who take on the media’s enormous responsibility to society. I am certain that going forward, the newspaper will develop confidently and remain interesting to a wide readership.”
