Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Constitutional Law On Amendments to the Federal Constitutional Law On the Judicial System of the Russian Federation and the Federal Constitutional Law On Arbitration Courts in the Russian Federation in Connection with the Establishment in the Arbitration Court System of the Court for Intellectual Property Rights.
The law is aimed at creating a specialised arbitration court to settle disputes related to intellectual property rights protection and requiring specialised knowledge and training.
The law sets out the powers, and the establishment and operation procedures for the new court and defines its organisational structure and work procedures.
The new court is to be established by February 1, 2013.
