Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
The amendments introduce the procedure for the appeals of court rulings that have not entered into force.
The law provides for the establishment of appellate courts in general jurisdiction federal courts of the Russian Federation, and also sets out the procedure for appeals.
The law also introduces the cassational procedure for the verification of court rulings that have entered into force.
In accordance with the federal law, the supervisory body with the authority to revise court rulings will remain exclusively the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.
