The Accounts Chamber Chairman reported to the President on the results of budget spending monitoring.
Sergei Stepashin noted a lag in the implementation of some federal programmes. In general, he said, the budget will be fulfilled with account of the amendments made in May, related to the rate of growth in oil prices.
In addition, the Accounts Chamber Chairman informed Dmitry Medvedev about the implementation of his instructions regarding spending efficiency assessment for the funds allocated for road safety measures, in particular, pointing to a personnel problem in road safety units. The President noted that he would instruct the Interior Minister to address the matter of staffing these units.
