The President signed the Federal Law On Introducing Amendments to Federal Law On the Federal Budget for 2020 and the 2021 and 2022 Planning Period.
The Federal Law specifies the parameters of the 2020 federal budget with consideration for the updated forecast of socio-economic development in the Russian Federation and the expected execution of the federal budget in 2020.
Total 2020 federal budget revenue is estimated at 20.593 trillion rubles, with expenses of 19.666 trillion rubles, resulting in a predicted federal budget surplus of 927.6 billion rubles.
To provide financial support for implementing the tasks set in the President’s Address to the Federal Assembly, the Federal Law provides for the following budget allocations:
To fund an increase in student admissions to university programmes;
To increase spending on maternity (family) capital;
To provide for monthly benefits for children aged 3 to 7 years;
To transfer subsidies to the regions of the Russian Federation for organising free hot meals for pupils receiving primary general education at public and municipal schools;
To transfer subsidies to the regions of the Russian Federation to create additional capacity in general education schools.
