The President approved a list of instructions following the meeting on support for families with children.
The Government of the Russian Federation was instructed to ensure the introduction of a monthly allowance on the birth of a child to provide support with his/her upbringing starting January 1, 2023. It must monitor its proper allocation and accrual and timely payment.
Instructions also concern an obligation to inform citizens about the terms and procedures for allocating this monthly allowance and create convenient and easy terms for applying for and obtaining the allowance. It is also essential to monitor the execution of the consolidated budgets of Russian constituent entities as regards co-financing the obligations on the payment of this monthly allowance and provision of additional financial support to the regional budgets for its payment.
The Government was also instructed to present proposals on the accelerated growth of the minimal wage and a further increase in its gap from the subsistence minimum per capita with a view to boosting the real incomes of the population.
In addition, the Government was instructed to draft and present a package of proposals to increase the real incomes of families with children that receive the monthly allowance for one or more children.
