Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to the Federal Law on Banks and Banking Activities.
The law is aimed at increasing financial stability and competitiveness of credit institutions as part of implementing the provisions of the Banking Sector Development Strategy of the Russian Federation through 2015.
The law provides for increasing the bank’s minimum equity (capital) and specifies the grounds for revoking a credit institution’s license to carry out banking operations.
