Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On Acceptance of Amendments to the Agreement Establishing of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) As Approved by the Resolutions of the EBRD Board of Governors NN. 137 and 138 of September 30, 2011.
The amendments to the Agreement are aimed at extending the scope of EBRD activities to the countries of Southern and Eastern Mediterranean and allow the use of special funds in any EBRD member state.
The amendments to the Agreement comply with international law and do not contradict the international obligations of the Russian Federation.
