Dmitry Medvedev sent his greetings to participants and guests of the VIII International Banking Forum Russian Banks — XXI Century held on September 1–5, 2010 in Sochi.
The message reads, in part:
“State support has allowed us to maintain stability of the national financial system during the period of crisis. Today, it is important for banks to effectively use their accumulated resources to support innovative activities and improve loans availability and transparency. Resolving this problem requires coherent effort by the entire Russian banking community, the use of modern approaches to management, application of regulatory instruments, and broadening cooperation with foreign partners.
I expect that your conclusions and recommendations will serve to develop the domestic banking sector and strengthen Russia’s position in global financial markets.”
