Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Establishing the Honorary Title of Honoured Inventor of the Russian Federation.
The title will be conferred on the authors of inventions of national importance, which have been put into production, and for major contributions to technological progress and long and fruitful work as inventors.
The title will be conferred on the basis of patents for inventions and recommendations from companies and organisations using and developing the inventions.
