Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On General Director of the Advanced Research Fund.
The Executive Order appoints Andrei Grigoryev general director of the Fund. Another Executive Order makes Mr Grigoryev a member of the Fund’s Board of Trustees.
Mr Putin signed Federal Law On Advanced Research Fund on October 17, 2012.
The Fund’s main functions are to develop scientific visions of potential threats of critical importance for national defence and security, set the main directions of scientific research and development in high-risk areas in order to achieve qualitatively new results in producing high-tech military, special, and dual-purpose goods, organise the search for innovative scientific and technical ideas and design and technology solutions in the designated areas and contract their development, bring these ideas to project level, and finance the relevant measures and projects.
