Vladimir Putin launched consultations with chief executives of academies and prominent academicians on reforming the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Vladimir Putin had meetings with President of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences Ivan Dedov, Lomonosov Moscow State University Rector Viktor Sadovnichy, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yevgeny Primakov, and former President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Osipov.
Current situation in the research institutions was discussed, as well as various issues of reforming the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Earlier in the day, Vladimir Putin had a meeting with the RAS President Vladimir Fortov.
The consultations on the subject will continue.
