On November 27, Vladimir Putin will hold a meeting of the Council for Science and Education in the Grand Kremlin Palace.
The discussion will cover topical matters related to scientific and technical policy in the context of implementing the Scientific and Technological Development Strategy of the Russian Federation.
The focus will be on improving the financing of science, establishing an advanced infrastructure for scientific research and attracting youth to the research and innovation sector.
Participants are also to consider the scientific support required to address the strategic tasks stipulated in the May Presidential Executive Order, in particular, the participation of the regions in forming the scientific and technological agenda necessary for the country’s spatial development.
Considering the wide range of subjects planned for discussion, Deputy Prime Ministers Tatyana Golikova, Maxim Akimov and Alexei Gordeyev as well as heads of several Russian regions have been invited to attend.
