Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Declaring the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation.
The President decided to declare the years 2022–2031 the Decade of Science and Technology in order to strengthen the role of science and technology in addressing the most important tasks related to the development of society and the country, considering the results achieved during the Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation in 2021.
According to the document, the main goals of the Decade are attracting talented youth to science, involving researchers and developers in addressing essential tasks to develop society and the country, and making information on the achievements and prospects of Russian science more available to Russians.
Corresponding instructions have been given to the Russian Government.
