Vladimir Putin signed the Federal Law On the Era Military Innovation Technopolis of the Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law regulates relations that will arise during the operation of the Era Military Innovation Technopolis of the Defence Ministry of the Russian Federation as a specialised research and industrial complex, which comprises research institutions, educational facilities, state corporations, industrial enterprises, defence companies and other organisations engaged in research and technical activities in the interests of ensuring national defence and security.
The goal of the Era Technopolis is to create an organisational system and an innovative infrastructure to ensure the promotion, support and introduction of high-tech military, special and dual-use products into production.
Certain legislative acts of the Russian Federation have been amended to ensure the compliance of the Federal Law with the existing legal framework.
