The President approved a list of instructions following a meeting with heads of leading engineering schools and their industry partners held on September 21, 2022.
Instructions to the Government of the Russian Federation concern state support for the manufacturers of domestic technological equipment which transfer samples of their make to higher education institutions that have leading engineering schools in their structure, for the purposes of testing, adjusting and using such pieces for training engineers and other technical professions for the needs of the said manufacturers; and institution of the Sergei Korolev scholarship for university students who made tangible achievements in engineering.
Instructions to the Government concern, in particular, the provision of advanced engineering schools with high-tech equipment and software, development of a standardised digital platform for installing the engineering software made by Russian research institutions and universities, and other issues.
Separate instructions were issued to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education with the participation of the coordination council for youth affairs in science and education under the Presidential Council for Science and Education and with the involvement of the Russian Science Foundation, state companies and state corporations.
