The President signed the Federal Law On Amending Article 22 of the Federal Law On Strategic Planning in the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law states that the scientific and technological development forecast of the Russian Federation shall be compiled on the basis of decisions of the President of the Russian Federation, with due consideration for information submitted by federal executive agencies, regional executive agencies and the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Presidential Council for Science and Education shall coordinate the compilation and adjustment of the scientific and technological development forecast, and it shall also provide methodological support. The President shall approve the scientific and technological development forecast of the Russian Federation at the recommendation of the Presidential Council for Science and Education. The President shall determine the procedure for compiling and adjusting the scientific and technological development forecast of the Russian Federation.
