President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon, colleagues.
I hope I can address you in this way. You had many opportunities and much time to discuss the current issues in this sector and in Russia, as well as the sector’s development in the world as a whole.
I am delighted to see all of you, and I am confident that our meeting will be useful. For me personally, it is extremely important to hear your views on the current trends in medicine, what steps we should take in Russia in addition to what the authorities, namely the Government of the Russian Federation is already doing in this crucial sector for any state.
I hope that the recent discussion with your colleagues was interesting. I would also like to express hope for continued cooperation between the state, the medical community, our largest medical and research centres, and our colleagues and friends who have maintained ties with us for a long time, who continue to maintain them and intend to do so in the future. I am addressing those who are working outside the Russian Federation.
That is all I wanted to say in my opening remarks.
