We take great pride in the generations of scientists, pilots, sailors, geologists, builders, pioneers, and professionals from various fields who have served our Motherland with unwavering honesty and selfless dedication. Over the years, thanks to their energy, perseverance, and tireless constructive work, we have established remarkable industrial and transport infrastructure, charted sea and air routes, discovered major mineral deposits, and conducted significant research in fields such as meteorology, biology, and geophysics. This work has greatly enriched not only Russia’s scientific potential but that of the entire world.

It is gratifying that you are drawing on the invaluable legacy of your predecessors to carry forward these noble traditions. You play a vital role in strengthening Russia’s presence on the White Continent and across the Arctic. You are actively contributing to the development of the Northern Sea Route and advancing major programmes focused on the sustainable and efficient development of polar territories and the preservation of their unique ecosystems. In the harshest conditions, you demonstrate exceptional professional and personal qualities, acting with competence and seamless coordination.”
