Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin held the first meeting of the working group to prepare the State Council for Road Safety in the Russian Federation.
Participants in the meeting included Deputy Minister of the Interior Viktor Kiryanov, First Deputy Transport Minister Yevgeny Ditrikh, Deputy Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief Minister Alexander Chupriyan, and representatives from the Federation Council, State Duma, federal and regional executive agencies, Russian national public associations and the expert community.
The head of the working group, Vladimir Region Governor Svetlana Orlova, briefed participants on preparations of a report for the State Council meeting. Head of the Ministry of the Interior’s directorate for road safety and deputy head of the report drafting group Viktor Nilov presented the structure of the document and its main sections.
Participants in the meeting discussed road safety issues, the state of public administration in this area, and the suggested set of measures to improve road safety.
