Vladimir Putin signed a list of instructions drafted following a meeting with business and consumer organisation representatives in Novgorod Region on April 18, 2017.
In particular, the President instructed the Government to draft and approve an action plan for preserving, reviving and developing folk arts and crafts.
The Government shall also develop opportunities for using folk arts and crafts in extra-curricular educational programmes for children.
The roadmap should also include plans for developing domestic and foreign tourism to places where folk arts and crafts are traditionally practiced.
