Presidential Aide and Chairman of the Organisational Committee on the preparations for and holding of the Strong Ideas for a New Time forum described the projects and initiatives for the forum.
The third forum Strong Initiatives for a New Time, the finals of which will be held in Moscow on June 28–29, is an annual event aimed at identifying and supporting socially significant initiatives that can contribute to the strengthening of Russia’s sovereignty and to achieving national development goals by 2030.
The event organisers – the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the Roscongress Foundation – are looking for initiatives from businesses and active citizens in the following six areas: technology, digital services, entrepreneurship, human resources, the environment, and the social sphere. Ideas are being collected at idea.roscongress.rg until April 26. Authors of the best initiatives will be invited to the final selection announcement in Moscow and will receive support from various development institutions, forum’s partners, regions, as well as federal executive bodies.
For the first time, the forum will feature a new Brand Competition designed to support domestic businesses. This is a unique opportunity for small companies producing goods and rendering services under their own original brand to receive comprehensive support in expanding their business and entering new markets in Russia and friendly countries.
Last year, over 310,000 people from 89 countries took part in the forum, with the majority of participants being Russians. The President of Russia attended the forum finals. More than 19,500 initiatives were submitted, 94 percent of the authors received feedback from experts and participants. The top 10 most active regions in terms of the number of initiatives submitted included Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Samara, Rostov, Orenburg, Tomsk and the Lipetsk regions plus St Petersburg. Residents of Kazakhstan and Israel were the most active participants from foreign states.
