Vladimir Putin will meet on May 16 with Jacob Zuma and will address delegates at the OECD tax administration forum

The President will welcome via video linkup delegates of the Organisation of Economic Cooperation and Development’s (OECD) eighth Forum on Tax Administration, which will take place in Moscow on May 16–17, 2013.

The forum participants include OECD Deputy Secretary-General Yves Leterme, Secretary General of the World Customs Organisation Kunio Mikuriya, Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Head of the Federal Tax Service Mikhail Mishustin, representatives of the International Monetary Fund, World Bank, United Nations, and the heads of a number of big transnational companies.

On the forum’s agenda are issues such as how to prevent the tax base from moving into offshore jurisdictions, improving information exchange between different countries’ tax authorities, and making taxation more transparent.

Mr Putin will hold talks on Thursday with President of South Africa Jacob Zuma, who will be in Russia at the President’s invitation on a working visit. The two leaders will continue the dialogue they began at their meetings in Durban on March 26–27, 2013.
