Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Convention between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Malta on Avoidance of Double Taxation and Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income.
The Convention was signed in Moscow on April 24, 2013.
The Convention aims to ensure that legal entities and physical individuals from both countries will not have to pay one and the same tax twice in their own country and in the partner country. Resolving this issue will help reciprocal investment development and make it possible to ensure that legal entities and physical individuals are not subject to double taxation.
