Dmitry Medvedev signed Federal Law On Amendments to Article 13 of Federal Law On the Legal Status of Foreign Nationals in the Russian Federation and to Article 256 of Federal Law On the Exit from the Russian Federation and Entry into the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law is designed to remove barriers that complicate the employment of highly qualified foreign professionals in the Russian Federation.
The amendments are related to foreign nationals visiting Russia for business or humanitarian purposes or for work and involved in addition in teaching at state-accredited research institutions and universities (with the exception of religious educational institutions).
This category of foreign nationals is not required to obtain work permits, and their employers and clients do not need permission to employ this category of foreign professionals, who will be eligible for an ordinary business or humanitarian visa with the right to engage in teaching.
