Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Particular Considerations Relating to the Application of Certain Provisions of Federal Laws and other Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation pertaining to Labour Law in connection with the Accession of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation and the Creation of New Constituent Entities within the Russian Federation – the Republic of Crimea and the Federal City of Sevastopol.
In particular, the Federal Law sets forth that up until January 1, 2015, labour relations established in Crimea and Sevastopol before this Federal Law comes into force shall be governed by Russian labour laws and also by laws and other legal acts related to labour law that were in effect in these two regions before their accession to the Russian Federation, so long as they do not conflict with Russian labour law.
