Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov chaired a meeting of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations.
In his opening remarks, Magomedsalam Magomedov pointed out the importance of energetic, systematic work on important state national policy guidelines in order to achieve the socioeconomic development goals set by the President in his Address to the Federal Assembly.
Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko spoke about the need for interdepartmental and inter-sectoral coordination when implementing the State Ethnic Policy Strategy and the Spatial Development Strategy until 2025.
In addition, the participants reviewed progress in implementing individual Presidential instructions in the sphere of interethnic relations.
Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov and Accounts Chamber auditor Tatyana Blinova focused on progress in implementing the state ethnic policy. Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Alexei Volin reported on measures to support the First Russian ethnic TV channel.
The Presidium of the Council also considered the action plan for this year and planning for independent expert analysis of materials submitted for the 2019 Presidential Award for contributions to strengthening the unity of the Russian nation.
