Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings to the delegates and guests of the 28th Congress of the Association of Peasant Farms and Agricultural Cooperatives of Russia (AKKOR).
The message reads, in part:
“In a historically brief period, Russian farmers have proved convincingly their economic and social importance, become a significant productive force, and carried on with honour the best farming traditions, which were always the glory of our country.
Largely thanks to your practical and caring attitude to land, hard work and initiative, advanced technologies and effective models of agricultural cooperation are introduced, much-needed projects are implemented, and productive culture is improved.
I am confident that it is the energetic, competent and sincerely dedicated specialists like you who are the foundation of Russian agriculture’s development and the guarantee of its prosperous future.
In this connection, let me note AKKOR’s extensive and fruitful activities, which make a great contribution to consolidating the professional community, strengthening the constructive dialogue with the state on implementing the agricultural policy, and addressing the sector’s vital problems.”
