The message reads, in part:

“In bringing Russian senior citizens together, the Union is making an important contribution to helping improve their living standards, protecting their rights and lawful interests and also resolving major social problems.

Naturally, special recognition goes to your projects and initiatives that open up vast opportunities for pensioners and other veterans in self-education, mastering new competences, taking part in the public, volunteer and educational work, as well as cultural and sporting events.

Such an approach helps senior citizens make use of their professional and creative potential, share their rich experience with the younger generation, find friends and likeminded people and keep their souls young and positively motivated.”
