Vladimir Putin sent his greetings to delegates at the Transplantation and Organ Donation Russian national congress.
The President said, in particular, in his message:
“This congress brings together many people, including the heads of government agencies, scientists, doctors from around the country, members of the clergy and representatives of non-governmental organisations and volunteer groups, to discuss issues of great social importance such as effectively developing medical science in Russia, setting common standards and policy in the field of transplantation, training qualified specialists, and using best practice from abroad. Of course, you will be putting particular emphasis on improving legislation in this area, including the legal, organisational and ethical aspects of organ donation and transplants.”
