Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Ratification of the Agreement on Cooperation between Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the Fight Against Growth of Prevalence of Diabetes.
In particular, parties to the agreement undertake to improve national legislation concerning diabetes, create long-term, comprehensive programmes to prevent diabetes and its complications, and take action for early detection and prevention of diabetes; to cooperate in the development and implementation of new prevention and treatment methods for this disease, as well as social and medical rehabilitation for citizens suffering from diabetes.
The parties to the Agreement commit to providing citizens of its member states suffering from diabetes emergency medical care without mutual compensation payments.
